Product placements are some of the most common marketing methods employed by several companies. Despite its regular usage, this kind of marketing technique is also effective, primarily when used strategically by filmmakers throughout the film. In this article, the author would focus on an analysis of two of the most effective product placements of the Chevrolet Camaro and Wilson’s Beach Volleyballs in the films Transformers (2007) and Cast Away (2000), respectively. In the subsequent sections of this article, the manner, content, and effectivity of the product placement throughout the two films will be discussed. All in all, the author believes that one of the reasons why the product placements in these films were effective was the fact that they interacted with the plot actively and extensively rather than merely showing them in short and sporadic moments.
Chevrolet Camaro
In the 2007 film Transformers, the director has featured a lot of cars and vehicles, which represent each of the ‘transformers.’ Accordingly, one of the centers of attraction in the film is the protagonist Bumblebee, which took the Chevrolet Camaro as his vehicle transformation throughout the film. Visually speaking, bumblebee’s transformation is a yellow car with horizontal black lines that runs parallel to its body. Both the car’s shape, as well as the vivid colors that were used, has given it a very sleek and distinct appearance that made it one of the centerpieces of the film.

Instructions: Rennaiscience (History course)
Immanuel Kant dares you to show what you know about early modern Europe. He asks that you focus solely on the materials from this course. Kant freaks out when he reads things taken from random websites or other material not assigned in the course. The idea is to think about what we did specifically in this class. (For example, ONLY FROM TEXTBOOK LIKE THE EUROPEAN WORLD, LIVES UNCOVERED, http://www.humanrights.com/what-are-human-rights.html, http://chnm.gmu.edu/revolution/etc),
Kant politely asks that you write at least 550 to 750 words (2+ to 3 pages, typed and double-spaced) on one of the topics below (a little more is fine too). This is a thought essay but do try to have a clear thesis and provide some examples or evidence from course texts where appropriate.
1. Did life for the “average” person change in fundamental ways between 1400 and 1800? If you took the average man or woman, say a farmer/peasant, craftsperson, small-time merchant, or their wife, and compared their lives in 1400 and in 1800 how much do you think their lives had changed? What aspects of life changed the most, and what changed the least? You can think in terms of their everyday lives, their work, their leisure, their homes, their education, occupational opportunities and the like. How might they view things like religion, politics or medicine? Was the average person’s life fundamentally the same or different in important and essential ways?
You can focus on a single “type” or look at more than one but focus has advantages. Be clear about gender, status and profession as you think about this—as well as where the person lived. You can make comparisons to others whose lives might have changed more or less (in the same time period).
2. What was not modern about early modern Europe? Some scholars view the period from roughly 1400 to 1800 as marking the beginning of modernity, hence the period is called early modern. Others believe it is more useful to think of the period as an extension of earlier history, and that industrialization marks the real break toward modernity. The period did witness many changes but these do not necessarily mark out a linear movement toward modernity. So write about the ways the period was not modern.
3. By 1800 Europe had emerged “as the major driving force behind global developments.” (Kümin, 2nd ed, p 362) In what specific ways was Europe a driving force in the world by 1800? How had Europe come to play this role? What were the limitations of European influence? Be sure to include that last point and be careful to look at expansion only up to 1800 and not include the extensive colonization of the nineteenth century in your answer. 3 pages / approx 825 words | APA | Essay | History | Undergraduate |

Instructions: Why does Coser believe that conflict is good for society? Discuss a real-life example in which a social conflict followed and lent support to Coser’s theory.
Discuss a real-life example of the Thomas Theorem: “If men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences.” What does this mean to you? How can it be applied to the example you’ve identified?
“Conflict theory” derives from the critical work of Karl Marx on economic inequality under capitalism; Coser’s analysis comes from structural-functionalism. How might social conflict be understood using symbolic interactionism? Come up with and discuss an application of this theory to the question of conflict. 2 pages / approx 550 words | APA | Essay | Literature & Language | Undergraduate |
Instructions: We need to research and write about a biological influence and psychological/social influence on a chosen facet of sexuality. I have attached a topics list to pick from. I would prefer the topic “pair bonding” but it is largely up the the writer based on the sources they find. We need to find four primary sources to cite to support our claims, two primary sources to support the biological influence on our facet of sexuality and two primary sources to support the the psychological/social influence. I’ve also attached assignment instructions and the rubric, and an APA guide.
PSYCH 204 HUMAN SEXUALITY Research Assignment
Instructions
Select one facet of human sexuality (e.g., sexual orientation, gender identity, attraction) and discuss BOTH of the following: • A biological influence on your chosen topic • A psychological or social influence on your chosen topic
The purpose of this assignment is to help you develop insight into the biological, social, and psychological perspectives that inform issues of human sexuality. As we have seen, many topics in this course are multifaceted and have multiple influencing factors. Examples of topics and hints about what would make an appropriate topic are posted to D2L.
The assignment is worth 16% of your final grade. Without approved documentation, late assignments will be penalized 10% per day, including weekends. Documentation must be submitted before the deadline to be considered.
Citations
You will need to cite two primary sources for the biological influence and two primary sources for the psychological/social influence, for a total of four primary sources. A primary source includes a book or a peer-reviewed journal article. Using a magazine (such as Scientific American) is not a proper peer-reviewed source and will not get you full marks. Do not use Wikipedia for your references, as Wikipedia is open to edit by anyone and is not peer-reviewed.
Remember that you MUST cite every idea that you write about that is not your own. Even if you just cited the same source in the sentence before. When in doubt, include a citation.
It is better to paraphrase an idea than to directly quote it – use direct quotes sparingly and only when they are really necessary for impact. Remember though that when you paraphrase it is still an idea from another source and it must be cited.
Format
The total assignment will be a maximum of four pages, not including your cover page and reference (i.e., up to six pages altogether including the cover page and reference page). Use Times New Roman, 12 pt font, double spaced. Use 1” margins on the page.
You must follow proper APA formatting to get full marks (details about APA formatting are posted to D2L) 4 pages / approx 1100 words | APA | Psychology | Research Paper | Undergraduate |
