In your opinion, can artificial intelligence match or surpass the human performance in a range of work activities, including ones requiring cognitive capabilities? Provide several examples of cognitive capabilities in specific industry sectors to support your answer.
Despite the current shortcomings that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has today, I believe that time will come when it will not only match, but also surpass the performance of humans in cognitive capabilities.
As of today, one of the shortcomings of AI is its relative inflexibility to critical situations, which humans have based on their own cognition and instinct.
For example, AIs in the production sector are designed to be as efficient as possible. However, it only functions based on how it is programmed and do not adapt to situations that could endanger the lives of people. In other words, it has no instinct and emotions (Lath, 2018).
Nonetheless, AIs have greatly increased the production and efficiency of the production sector as it ensures that each step of the process in creating a product is based from data external (i.e., demand and supply) and internal (i.e., quantity of raw materials) from the production process.
Another sector that is greatly benefited by the use of AIs is the health sector. Similar to the production sector, relying solely on AIs as of today can be detrimental to the lives of the patients since it lacks the elements of instinct and emotions. Nonetheless, AIs are being used today as supplements to the work of healthcare professionals by analyzing patient data as well as other information and synthesizing them. Thus, healthcare providers can predict the number of patients or easily craft an earlier diagnosis to prevent further injuries.

Instructions: Discussion – Week 1 (preferred related to Psychiatric care since I work as a Psych Nurse)
COLLAPSE
Defining Quality
As health care consumers, we all expect quality care and positive outcomes. It is important as professionals that we meet these demands of health care consumers. Consider the work of the major theorists you examined in this week’s Resources, and think about how these theories apply to your own experience as a health care customer and/or practitioner.
By Day 3
Post your definition of quality, and apply it to the work of one major quality theorist (e.g., Donabedian, Juran, Deming, Triple Aim (IHI) – Berwick). Identify a practice problem that you have had some experience with as a customer or as a practitioner, and explain how eliminating wasteful practices could have improved the experience. Include how your definition of quality applies to that experience.
Support your response with references from the professional nursing literature. Your posts need to be written at the capstone level (see checklist).
Notes for Initial Post: A 3-paragraph (at least 350 words) response. Be sure to use evidence from the readings and include in-text citations. Utilize essay-level writing practice and skills, including the use of transitional material and organizational frames. Avoid quotes; paraphrase to incorporate evidence into your own writing. A reference list is required. Use the most current evidence (usually ≤ 5 years old). (Refer to AWE Checklist, Capstone)
By Day 7
Read two or more of your colleagues’ postings from the Discussion question.
Respond with a comment that asks for clarification, provides support for, or contributes additional information to two or more of your colleagues’ postings.
Post a Discussion entry on three different days of the week. See the Discussion Rubric found in the Course Information area.

Option 1
Problem: Adapted from I.11-66 in the textbook.
Sonny Corporation has never been audited before the current year. An audit is now needed by a CPA because the company is expanding rapidly and plans to issue stock to the public. A CPA firm has been doing preliminary evaluations of the Sonny Corporation’s accounts and records. One major problem involves the valuation of inventory under GAAP. Sonny Corporation has been valuing its inventory under the cost method and no write-downs have been made for obsolescence. A review of the inventory indicates that obsolescence and excess spare parts in the inventory are two major violations of Accounting Periods and Methods. The CPA states that for GAAP the company will be required to write down its inventory by 25% of its stated amount, or $100,000, and charge this amount against net income from operations for the current period. Otherwise, an unqualified (i.e., a “clean opinion”) will not be rendered. The company controller asks your advice regarding the tax consequences from the obsolescence and spare parts inventory write-downs for the current year and the procedures for changing to the lower-of-cost-or-market (LCM) method for tax purposes. Sonny Corporation uses a calendar year for both book and tax purposes, and the date of your contact with the company is December 1 of the current year.

Instructions: Assignment Guidelines:
Select one artist covered in the lecture and one of their artworks to critique.
Title the essay in a way that provides anticipation for the content of the essay.
In the introductory paragraph of your essay, introduce the artist and artwork providing background information for each.
For example: What is the artist’s name? What is their nationality? Where do they live? What type of work do they make? What artwork are you going to cover? What is its title? What materials is it made out of? When was it made? How is the piece experienced?
At the end of the introductory paragraph, provide your thesis. This is your critique of the artwork.
There are many judgements you may have for the work of art you are writing about and it is up to you to develop those into your critique. If you are struggling to develop your critique, start with considering the effectiveness or impact of the artwork. Does the artwork change the way you think about something? Does it not? Does it make you think differently about some ideas, but not others? Does the work operate only on sensationalism or shock value? Is the work well-researched and nuanced providing many interpretations by many different people?
In the following paragraphs, describe the artwork at length and provide your arguments that support and flesh out your critique of the artwork. In these paragraphs, you are answering WHY you critique the artwork in this way.
In your concluding paragraph, relay your thesis (that is not just re-stating it) that summarizes your perceived impact of the work of art.
Think about the artwork’s personal impact upon you, the cultural impact of the artwork, the historical impact, and/or the political impact of the artwork.
7. Embed an image of the work you discussed within your essay. Add an appropriate citation to your Works Cited page.
Examples of art critics writing art reviews:
Roberta Smith’s review of Orlan from 1993.
David J. Getsy’s review of Cassils from 2017.
Kara Q. Smith’s review of Stelarc from 2012.

Instructions: Essay on Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen
Has to be exactly 1500 words, no fewer and not many more
The topic of the Essay:
The very first sentence of the book Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, though it seems to focus on men, raises the question: what about the women in the novel, the prospective wives of these men “in want of a wife”? If such a single man “must be in want of a wife,” what is a single woman in want of, when it comes to marriage? In light of this first sentence of Pride and Prejudice, discuss the situation, attitude, and actions of the following four women in the book, with regard to courtship and marriage: Elizabeth Bennet, Charlotte Lucas, Jane Bennet, and Lydia Bennet. Remember to talk about each of the four women in four different paragraphs, meaning one paragraph per woman. Consider the two meanings of the word “want,” the thinking of the women about marriage, and their situation with respect to social position and “fortune.” Concentrate on the most interesting cases, while considering secondary characters as they shed light on the main cases. In looking briefly at secondary characters, you might consider those men and women who are not engaged or married at novel’s end.
Notice, then, the explicit mention of a “good fortune.” What about a man without a good fortune? Does the possession of a good fortune matter in the case of the women? And a further consideration: although the main focus of the novel would seem to be on courtship leading to marriage, you might briefly consider a couple of cases where a couple has already been married, briefly or for a longer time: Charlotte and Collins (the only couple we see in both courtship and marriage), the elder Lucas’s, the Bennet’s, the Gardiners.
Make sure that your essay has a clear thesis and a title that indicates the focus of your discussion. 6 pages / approx 1650 words | Essay | Literature & Language | MLA | Undergraduate |

Instructions: You are to create a thoughtful and reflective essay that includes a minimum of four paragraphs (a paragraph must contain a minimum of three sentences, even though APA states two sentences) that addresses the expectations as listed below. This reflective essay may be written in first person because this is your personal reflection. The reflection must be based on the signature assignment, which was two Problem Based Learning (PBL) clinical patient cases. This assignment is graded on how well you address the expectations of the reflection, please make sure you address each of the expectations as listed below!
Expectations of reflection:
1. Introductory paragraph that describes:
-the signature assignment of the Problem Based Learning clinical case study.
-How does what you learned through completing this signature assignment connect to the learning outcomes in this course? (you must write about how they connect to at least 2 of the 3 course CLOs)
CLOS
Assess the various techniques of periodontal therapy.
Analyze a problem based case to meet the comprehensive needs of a patient.
Justify the need for surgical periodontal treatment referrals.
Completing these two pbls helped me understand the topics of implants and orthodontics. We were given two patients and from the case study our prpofessor gave us a particular topic that we had to address and become professional in.
– Describe the gains over the term you have made in achieving the CLOs.
The gains I have made is that I am better to understand the involvement of perio and how it affects orthodontics and implants. With orthodontics I learned that it cannot be placed if it the patient has osseous crater, furcation’s, and three-wall defects. With implants I learned that there are so many times and each one is used for specific reasons.
2.A paragraph (or more) that includes:
What challenges did you encounter in completing this assignment?
-The challenges I encountered was findings new research in the recent 2 year about my topic. Most of the researches were from years ago.
How did you solve these challenges?
-I solved these challenges by getting extra help from our school librarian.
What were the successes you had in completing this assignment?
The success was that I was easly about to find information nabout my topic and it was pretty easy to go into detail about them.
3. A paragraph (or more) that discusses your learning throughout this term:
Describe the learning process throughout the course, what it felt like as you
progressed and mastered certain skills (developing key facts, hypothesis,
learning needs and applying these to effective poster board presentations).
Through out this term it was difficult retaning all the information of periodontology. There is a lot of key facts that need to be memories in order to figure out what status the patient is. In order to be able to see if a patient is periodontally involved you need to go and check many things.
What skills have you obtained from the PBL process and how will you apply
those skills to private practice?
-The skill I have obtained is that now I can easily research a topic and learn about it in detail. It can help me in private practice because I know now what periodontally involved patients need or how to diagnose if they are periodontally involved.
Discuss the skills you are still developing related to the PBL process and your
plans to continue your learning to ensure you remain knowledgeable and competent in the future.
-These skills that I have obtained will help me when I graduate and become a RDH. I can take this to private practice where I will need to explain all these information to the dentist when with a patient.
4.A paragraph (or more) that discusses a connection between what you studied in this course and what you learned in previous courses.
-What I have learned in this course plays the most important role in my clinic class. I. need to know these information when seeing a patient in order to successful create a correct dental hygiene care plan.
Specifically describe how what you learned in other classes enhance what you learned in this class.
-Last term in the periodontology class I was in it helped me learn the basis information for this applied periodontology.
Reflect on what you thought about the CLO’s at the beginning of the class and how you think about them now.
Please look at the clos I provided above and make something up.
What has changed in your assumptions and understanding?

Instructions: 1. Why do you think Alexie in Absolutely True Diary and Baldwin in “Sonny’s Blues” decided to tell their stories partly through artforms other than words? We see many of Junior’s drawings, and in several styles, and Baldwin uses contrasting musical styles as a key motif in “Sonny’s Blues.” Write one or two paragraphs on each work (do not compare and contrast.) For background on Alexie, read the interview with illustrator Ellen Forney at the back of ‘Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian.” Why does the book use contrasting styles and how does it tie in with writing styles/moods from chapter to chapter?
For Baldwin, listen to and learn about the radical change from traditional jazz (like Louis Armstrong), to modern Bebop (‘Bird’/Charlie Parker). Do some web research before you write. Why did many middle-class, religious, and older blacks attack and dislike Bebop? Who in ‘Sonny’s Blues’ is aligned with each? Why do you think Baldwin uses contrasting jazz styles and gospel music to tell this particular story about an African American artist and his family?
2. Select one key character in Go Tell It on the Mountain who is not given a separate chapter (ie, not John, Gabriel, Florence, Elizabeth). How is that character treated as both believable, complex, and human, yet also at the same time as a symbolic, even Biblical figure? What part does he or she play in the intertwined stories of racist violence, prayers, visions, sin, and redemption?
