Introduction
Opening a business these days entails many risks and advantages. Some of these risks are associated with the conditions of the market itself (external), whereas some are due to the capabilities and organizational aspects of the business (internal). In contrast to this, re-opening a closed business could have a better position as compared to those which starts from scratch. This is because some of these businesses have already gained some grounding, clients, as well as experience before it closed. However, this does not mean that re-opening a business is easy. In fact, this process could be daunting especially when the cause of closure includes a past due, debt, or any other liabilities that still needs to be paid for. In this article, a case study of a foreclosed Asian supermarket in Amherst, Buffalo would be analyzed. In doing so, the author has conducted a short interview with the owners about the past and present problems that they are facing. Consequently, an appropriate solution would be provided based on the interview and a research of possible opportunities within the same market. In the following sections a new Mission Statement, Business plan, Financial Projection, Marketing Assessment, and Investment would be presented. Since the store, has no tentative name yet, the author would like to propose a the business name ‘Asian Mart’ (tentative), in order to appeal to its target clients within the area. All in all, the authors believe that based on the circumstances presented earlier, a combination of a click-and-mortar as well as a high-volume, low margin business model would be best to meet its goals.

Mission Statement
Since the owners to the business would want to re-open an supermarket primarily for Asian goods, the most appropriate Mission Statement for the business would be: “To become the largest supplier of Asian goods and commodities in Buffalo, while bringing ‘home’ closer to Asian consumers.” The main reason why the authors proposes this mission statement is because it encourages both the employees and the owners to listen to what Asian consumer wants, while also focusing on growth. In turn, this combination of a ‘customer-centric’ and ‘growth-oriented’ approach, should lead to growth in the said market.

Business Plan
Business Overview
Ever since the last decade, the number of Asian migrants in the United States has exponentially increased. In Amherst alone, recent estimates show that about 2.0% of the whole population is primarily composed of Asian migrants (Amherstida.com, n.d.). Despite this demand, it is surprising that the first Asian Supermarket that offers all kinds of novelties and commodities from the region, was only opened last year in Niagara Falls (Vaughters, 2017). This shows that a significant market for Asian goods still exist within the community, despite the number of smaller Asian goods retailers.

Asian Mart – Executive Summary

Asian Mart would be a supermarket located in Amherst, Buffalo that offers all kinds of goods and commodities from Asia. Just like before, the business would focus on a direct-sales business model. However, in order to supplement its profits and pay for the past liabilities, a website which allows customers to purchase goods online would be established. Thus, the proposed business model for the re-opening on the store would be ‘click-and-mortar’, which strategically combines the presence of a physical store and the reach of an online one. Lastly, the business would utilize a high-volume, low-margin model in order to cater for most of its consumers, while also driving growth.

For example, we have reviewed a bit about the changes in the skeletons of humans and other species. In those things we have noted skeletons have changed in a sequence overtime in that;● Human types have special adaptations which allow and require a two legged walk, aka facultative bipedalism.● There are isolation forces, geographic isolation, which can produce changes in animal types based on the ecosystem. For example,Foster’s Rule.● That variation of species is measurable as noted by Darwin’s Finches. Here in this section, there is a short lesson which gets the student acquainted with the process of biological classification. This is a small and simple lesson to give the idea of distinct traits, and mosaic species. This process can start with some basic assumptions, scientific ones, that things potentially get more complex as they change. It is important to note that a species can become simpler to survive but it also noted that some things become more complex. That being said we will start with the assumption that; things potentially get more complex as they change. Simpler is then older and more complex is newer. Note in following species, Andersenii aquaticus, is about first, the identification of the simply described simplest form of the organism, noted by the membranes (borders) and nothing else distinctive (Table1, Key concept 1.) This lesson assesses Mendel’s first law of: segregation. That is that offspring inherit their traits from parents. Therefore, related species had to get their traits from ones that existed before. It assesses evolutionary theory in showing that organisms tend towards complexity but at time entropy happens and things leave the family line. It shows the theory of phylogenetics ( gene types) and shows the relation in arbitrary time on the cladogram.

The students for 8-1 are Andre,Tara, comment on Andre comment to Doris, and Lewis . for 8-2 there is one comment for Andre the questions are different in text citations and reference page a total of 5 comments. You can use the students references if you want 8-1 Describe the structure of the Baron EQ/I assessment. How can this assessment lead to a better understanding of interacting with others? Explain. Andre The Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory is a self-report assessment of emotional and social factors that gives an estimate of emotional and social intelligence (Bar-On, 2013). It is a 133-item inventory that scores five areas (intrapersonal and interpersonal factors. stress management skills, situational adaptability and general positive moods). The principle of Bar-On is that if one manages their own responses effectively, it will translate into positive interpersonal relationships with others (Bar-On, 2006). This is due to the idea that one needs to assess their emotional intelligence, in order to respond to their emotions effectively, which affects one’s emotional health and ultimately their psychological well-being (Bar-On, 2013). When these three factors are in balance and the person is not engaging in self-defeating behaviors, one can interact with others effectively as well. Bar-On, R. (2006). The Bar-On Model of Emotional-Social Intelligence (ESI). Psicothema, 18, pp. 13-25. http://www.psicothema.com/pdf/3271.pdf Bar-On, R. (2013). Reuven Bar-On. Retrieved May 15, 2020, from https://www.reuvenbaron.org/wp/ Tara, The structure of the Baron EQ/1 assessment assesses self-perception, interpersonal, decision making, stress management, and self-expression (High Performing Systems, Inc., n.d.). The EQ-i consists of 133 items in the form of short sentences and employs a 5-point response scale with a textual response format ranging from “very seldom or not true of me” (1) to “very often true of me or true of me” (5) (High Performing Systems, Inc., n.d.). It measures socially and emotionally intelligent behavior. Emotional intelligence is believed to be a critical determinant of life success (High Performing Systems, Inc., n.d.). This assessment can lead to a better understanding of interacting with others because the knowledge gained helps guide actions and thoughts towards self and others. One may find new methods that allow their emotional intelligence to become stronger, therefore, providing them with the confidence needed for robust decision making. Reference: High Performing Systems, Inc.. (n.d.). BarOn EQ-i. Retrieved May 16, 2020, from https://www.hpsys.com/EI_BarOnEQ-I.htm This is my post Andre comment answer his comment below The full assessment of the combined emotional social intelligence comprise five major components, viz, Intrapersonal, Interpersonal, Stress Management, General Mood Scale, and Adaptability. Intrapersonal reveals tendencies of self-regard, emotional self-awareness, assertiveness, independence, and self-determination. Interpersonal focuses on empathy, social responsibility, and socialization. Stress Management explores tolerance to stress, and self-control when overwhelmed with emotions. General mood scale checks an individual’s hopefulness and joy.Adaptability deals with life skills especially problem solving techniques, versatility and acceptance of reality How can EQ/I assessment lead to a better understanding of interacting with others? Explain. The components as aforementioned provide a reserve of data about the people around an individual. Proper use of the knowledge gathered from those around you helps one communicate better, handle conflicts peacefully, empathize and handle challenges with confidence (Unknown, 2015). If the behavior at workplace, feelings, and relationship is checked then the quality of life of those around you are likely to be inspired. Reference Unknown Aurhor. (2015).Top of FormTop of Form Emotional intelligence: Managing emotions to win in life. Andre Hello Doris, Your responses are indicative of the primary applicability of Bar-On to interpersonal relationships. Personal emotional well being can have an overwhelmingly positive impact on ho one participates in relationships, which can create healthy families, social structures and healthy communities. It does appear that the creators of Bar-On are looking to apply it more so to human performance in organizational settings. The goal is to maximize one’s potential and produce a concept of “star performer profiling” (Bar-On, 2013). The Bar-On is utilized to select, train and develop high performers by taking the Bar-On scores of employees that predict high performance, placing those employees in leadership training programs and matching the scores with employee performance reports two years after the initial assessment. It does seem that Bar-On has more immediate application in interpersonal relationships. Bar-On, R. (2013). Reuven Bar-On. Retrieved May 16, 2020, from https://www.reuvenbaron.org/wp/ Lewis The ESI measures emotional and social intelligence behavior. (https://ap.themyersbriggs.com/content/EQi_2_0_Model.jpg) Its broken down into five areas; Stress management, self-perception, self-expression interpersonal and decision making. This covers more in-depth with emotional self-awareness, empathy, problem solving, impulse control and optimism. “In brief, the EQ-i contains 133 items in the form of short sentences and employs a 5-point response scale with a textual response format” (2006) EI is a touch tricky as it should show the capacity to be aware and control ones emotions. https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Difference-between-low-and-high-emotional-intelligence_fig2_330400643 The tricky part is what side of the scale you are viewing it from. Slow or consistent picky or careful, when we measure things like this or at least in this manner it comes down to social perspective. Not a lot past that. That makes it at least hard for me to better understand how this can help with understanding others or even interacting with them. Sure there is a huge difference between acting out and not, that is why I used the examples that I did. My wife will tell you I am fussy, I would tell you I am meticulous. I would tell you that I am strong willed but others would say I am bossy. Again its all about perspective, and when things like that come down to it, there is no real right or wrong answers. Bar-On, R. (2006). The Bar-On Model of Emotional-Social Intelligence (ESI). Psicothema, 18, pp. 13-25. (https://ap.themyersbriggs.com/content/EQi_2_0_Model.jpg) https://www.researchgate.net/figure/Difference-between-low-and-high-emotional-intelligence_fig2_330400643 Lewis did a wheel but it would not copy 8-2 For what situations would the Baron EQ/I assessment be most appropriate or applicable? Explain. Andre The Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory measures emotional and social intelligence (Bar-On, 2013). Emotional intelligence involves abilities, competencies and skills related to understanding oneself and others, relating to peers and family members, and adapting to changing environmental situations and demands. The problem becomes when one uses emotional responses to life situations rather than effective problem-solving. Emotional responses can affect a person’s perspective and interfere with their ability to manage their situations effectivly. The situations in which the Bar-On EQ/I would be most useful are those in which emotional reactivity impacts one’s ability to manage their situations effectively. The two primary areas that I would use Bar-On are when the client is experiencing anger, sadness or anhedonia and this either causes decreased motivation or affects their interpersonal interactions with others either in their career or in their interpersonal relationships. Bar-On, R. (2013). Reuven Bar-On. Retrieved May 15, 2020, from https://www.reuvenbaron.org/wp/

Respiration at Rest versus Exercising This is a Hands-On Labs experiment that explores the differences in respiration at rest and during exercise. Before you start, watch the following videos to become more familiar with the lungs. The first video is narrated using basic terminology, so it is easier for the viewer to understand. The second video is more extensive, showing more structures of the lungs, including the diaphragm. This video also shows the placement of the liver and reviews the structures of the heart. Video 1: What’s inside the lungs? Lung Dissection At-Bristol Science Centre (4:30) Video 2: Heart & Lung Dissection (11:52) Procedure Follow the procedures detailed in the Respiratory Physiology experiment from Hands-On labs. During the lab, you will breathe into a balloon while you are resting to record how much air is in a single exhalation at rest. You will then exercise for a bit and assess how much air you exhale when you are active. Be sure to follow the instructions in the lab to complete the experiment. Record your data and calculate your tidal volume, minute ventilation, forced vital capacity, and total lung volume. When you are done, write a report or create a presentation. You do not need to submit the Lab Report Assistant for grading. Create a Report Use the following outline to describe the data from your lab in a report. Label each portion of the lab as described below. Introduction: Start with a broad discussion of the lungs, and then narrow your focus to the question(s) that you are trying to answer. Include any observations or background information about the lungs that may pertain to the lab. Conclude the introduction with a hypothesis—a statement that reflects what you believe the outcome of this lab will be. What are you comparing and what do you expect will happen? Material List: Identify all items that you used and the exact quantities, as applicable. This may be a very short section. Methods: Describe how you conducted the experiment, including any safety precautions you took while performing the lab. Be sure to include any changes that you made to the original instructions. Did you use different exercises? This should be a short, paraphrased version of the methods from the lab. Do not copy from the lab; Turnitin will highlight it as plagiarism. Results/Data: Create a table or a figure that reflects/compares the results of your experiment. Discussion: Review your results and determine if your experiment supports or refutes your hypothesis. Explain why. Then expand your discussion to address why and how your body creates the changes you observed as you increased your level of activity. Be specific and give details. What impact would changes to your lifestyle, such as increasing or decreasing your regular level of activity, have on the values you calculated? Conclusion: End with a section describing something that intrigued you about the lab; identify errors that may have impacted your results, or note errors in the lab itself; and provide recommendations for future labs. Requirements: If you are doing the report, it should be 4-5 pages long, not including the title page. Reference at least two journal articles. Include a title page, or title slide for the presentation, and references at the end. Follow the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA.

Readings: Zadie Smith, Joy Helen Rosner, Christ in the Garden of Endless Breadsticks In ‘Joy, Smith invites us to rethink the experience of ‘pleasure’ and ‘joy’ and argues that the experience of joy is central to the human experience. In the first paper, I would like you to put Smith’s theory of joy to work, determining whether it can help us understand the appeal of ‘The Olive Garden’ as discussed by Rosner. To what extent can we use Smith’s understanding of ‘joy’ and ‘pleasure’ to rethink the ‘agonies and ecstasies’ of the Olive Garden? How might Rosner’s view of the Olive Garden help refine or complicate Smith’s understanding of joy? Additional questions you might want to consider: Are there moments of ‘joy’ in Rosner’s discussion of eating at The Olive Garden? In what way do they conform to ‘joy’? In what way are they different? How could this be related to Gaugin’s painting? For Smith, joy has a complicated process. Is there something similar at the Olive Garden? Is the experience of eating food always simply a pleasure? Does Rosner offer a more positive version of what Smith calls ‘joy’? A more negative one? Smith often refers to pleasure as a release from anxiety. What is the role of anxiety in both essays?

In fact, you should not attempt to. Your task is use close analysis of the language of the passages to identify that question with as much nuance and precision as you can. Hint 1: Perhaps the best way to make a claim about what question the passages are preoccupied with is to use the following template: Through the motif/technique of _____________, these passages pose the question of what/how/why/to what extent/under what conditions __________________. In the blank there should be at least one noun, maybe more, and at least one verb, and the noun should name the crucial topic that the passages are exploring. If you decide not to use this template, you may be avoiding the task in the prompt. Hint 2: Motif should not be confused with topic or theme. Remember that a motif is a concrete image or phrase that is repeated across the novel and that out of which a significant pattern is made. Death or memory are topics; “rememory” or “chokecherry tree” or 124’s “white staircase” or “pieces” or “weight” or “A man ain’t nothin but a man” are motifs. A novel like Beloved says what it has to say about the topics it is concerned with by developing its motifs in the way that it does. Hint 3: Although you do not have to focus on point of view as your technique, you should be mindful of which characters’ thoughts are being reported in the passages you’ve chosen. As we’ve seen, the narrative function within this novel is almost always to report the thoughts of particular characters.

Instructions:
Lab Exercise (30 Points) Antigens and Blood Typing In this lab, you will complete a simulation about a car crash and the importance of proper blood typing for blood transfusions. Follow these instructions to complete your online lab for this module: 1. Click on the following link, or copy and paste the link into your browser: http://www(dot)nobelprize(dot)org/educational/medicine/bloodtypinggame/gamev2/index.html 2. Then click “proceed” at the bottom right of the screen. 3. On the screen that says “Select Game Type,” click “Quick Game – Random Patients” on the left. 4. The next screen should say “Car Crash Victims.” Click “Main Menu” on the top right. 5. On the Main Menu screen, read three brief tutorials on the left and answer the questions below. (Note: After reading the tutorial, click “BACK,” which is in small print on the right side of the burgundy blood typing logo at the top of the page.) Lab Exercise Readiness Questions In what year did Karl Landsteiner discover ABO human blood groups? Later, in 1940, Landsteiner discovered another blood group. What is the name of that blood group system? According to Tutorial 1, how many blood types are there? To determine blood type, you need to know which antigens are present. Which antibodies are contained in the three types of reagents? After mixing the reagent with the blood samples, what does agglutination of the sample indicate? Describe what happens when blood agglutinates. If a person has lost blood due to an injury or surgery, or has anemia, what is the most commonly transfused part of the blood? Explain what happens if a person receives the wrong blood in a transfusion? What does the term “compatible blood” mean in relationship to blood transfusions? What happens in emergencies when there is no time for blood typing? When you write your report or presentation after completing the lab, integrate the answers to these questions in your introduction and discussion where they would be appropriate. Then proceed with the rest of the lab: 6. Now that you are familiar with how the game is played, click “Start Playing” on the right. 7. The first screen will ask you to select a patient. Since you will test all three patients, select any one of the patients. 8. Follow the instructions in the call-outs to draw blood, and drop blood into all three of the test tubes. You will then choose the patient’s blood type and Rh factor: If you are incorrect, you will get a message that says, “You’re bloody wrong. Try again.” Try again by clicking on the drop of blood with an X in the center on the right. You can continue to try until you receive the message that says, “You’re bloody right.” After you identify the blood type correctly, click on the drop of blood with the X in the center. This will take you to “Blood Transfusion,” where you will select the compatible blood for the patient’s transfusion. Note that on the bottom left, it states the number of blood bags required. An arrow on the right side of the blood bags will allow you to access additional compatible samples. 9. Continue to play this game until you are able to save the lives of your three patients. Click “Back,” which is at the very top right hand corner of the page. This will take you to a screen that returns you to the game types. 10. Select the middle game, called Mission Based Game. Register for the game using your CSU-Global email address. Play each of the six missions at least one time. When completed, list the following information. Number of blood-typed patients Number of administered blood bags Number of treated patients 11. After completing this lab, draft your Formal Lab Report. The required outline and structure for this report are below. Create a Report Use the following outline to describe the data from your lab in a report. Label each portion of the lab as described below. Introduction: Start with a broad discussion about blood and its importance, and narrow your focus to the topic of the lab. Be sure to describe the ABO blood types and the Rh factor. Discussion of some of the readiness questions would also be appropriate here. Conclude the introduction with a statement that reflects what you expect to observe during this lab. Material List: Identify all items that you used and the exact quantities, as applicable. This may be a very short section. Methods: Describe how you conducted the experiment, including any safety precautions you took while performing the lab. Be sure to include any changes that you made to the original instructions. This should be a short, paraphrased version of the methods from the lab. Do not copy from the lab; Turnitin will highlight it as plagiarism. Results/Data: Create a table or figure that reflects/compares the results of your experiment. Discussion: Review your results and discuss whether they were expected. Explain why. Bring in relevant details to expand on the topic. Discuss why proper blood types are important for persons involved in an accident. Do you know your blood type or the blood type of your family members? Discussion of some of the readiness questions would also be appropriate here. Conclusion: End with a section describing something that intrigued you about the lab; identify errors that may have impacted your results, or note errors in the lab itself; and provide recommendations for future labs. Requirements: If you are doing the report, it should be 3-4 pages long, not including the title page. Reference at least two journal articles. Include a title page, or a title slide for the presentation, and references at the end. Follow the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA.
