Introduction

The main difference between robbery, burglary, and larceny is that while burglary refers to the crime committed when an individual illegally enters a property of another individual, larceny (or theft) refers to the act of entering a house with the intent of depriving the owner with his own possessions (Laws.com, n.d.).

In other words, an individual who enters a private property with a malicious intent could be charged with burglary, whereas he could only be charged with larceny if he takes something in the process. In contrast to this, robbery is just like burglary (or even larceny), but with the element of threat or physical injuries in the process. In other words, if an individual illegally enters a private property and threaten the owner

Discussion – Week 1 (preferred related to Psychiatric care since I work as a Psych Nurse) COLLAPSE Defining Quality As health care consumers, we all expect quality care and positive outcomes. It is important as professionals that we meet these demands of health care consumers. Consider the work of the major theorists you examined in this week’s Resources, and think about how these theories apply to your own experience as a health care customer and/or practitioner. By Day 3 Post your definition of quality, and apply it to the work of one major quality theorist (e.g., Donabedian, Juran, Deming, Triple Aim (IHI) – Berwick). Identify a practice problem that you have had some experience with as a customer or as a practitioner, and explain how eliminating wasteful practices could have improved the experience. Include how your definition of quality applies to that experience. Support your response with references from the professional nursing literature. Your posts need to be written at the capstone level (see checklist). Notes for Initial Post: A 3-paragraph (at least 350 words) response. Be sure to use evidence from the readings and include in-text citations. Utilize essay-level writing practice and skills, including the use of transitional material and organizational frames. Avoid quotes; paraphrase to incorporate evidence into your own writing. A reference list is required. Use the most current evidence (usually ≤ 5 years old). (Refer to AWE Checklist, Capstone) By Day 7 Read two or more of your colleagues’ postings from the Discussion question. Respond with a comment that asks for clarification, provides support for, or contributes additional information to two or more of your colleagues’ postings. Post a Discussion entry on three different days of the week. See the Discussion Rubric found in the Course Information area. Click on the Reply button below to reveal the textbox for entering your message. Then click on the Submit button to post your message.

Instructions:
* Using the preliminary work done in your research journals, write a project proposal for your TA’s and lecturer’s approval. Your proposal must contain the sections below, with headings to label each one. While your audience is your instructors who are familiar with the course, you should still be sure to thoroughly and clearly explain your research process and project. * * Introduction of Research Question + Audience Analysis (aim for roughly 300 words): Open this section with a revised version of the research question you submitted in Week 4. Devote the rest of this section to explaining why this question is significant, by answering the following questions: * How will this research question help you address an issue that needs to be considered, especially as society rebuilds post-pandemic? How will this question help you come up with a particular action/solution/intervention to take with your peers to address this issue when we all return to campus? * How will this research question help you get the information you’ll need to pose an effective call to action to your peers? In other words, how will answering this research question help you get your peers to join you? What common knowledge, values, or ideological frameworks will it help you establish with your peers? * * Research Plan (aim for roughly 300 words): This section will explain your plan for answering your research question. * Identify what you don’t know yet. Answer these questions: What are the gaps in your knowledge, and how will you fill those gaps? Which of the following will you do to fill those gaps: more library research, experimentation, participatory observation at a synchronous UCSD source, or some other research activities? * Propose a detailed timeline for yourself for the last five weeks of the quarter so that you can complete the research project by its due date. What will you complete, and by when? You must note in this timeline what synchronous UCSD source you are planning to attend before the week 8 deadline to submit your annotated bibliographic entry for this specific source. * * * Annotated Bibliography (aim for roughly 500 words): For the last section of your proposal, include two annotated bibliographic entries (about 250 words per source), in APA format, to show the research you have done thus far. One entry should be for any DOC course text (assigned or suggested from any quarter) that helps you answer your research question. The remaining entry should be for an outside source you have found through library database searches. Remember to consult our library guide on how to structure annotated bibliographic entries (https://ucsd(dot)libguides(dot)com/DOC3/annotatedbib). Each annotation should include a critical summary of the source’s argument (in your own words), an evaluation of the usefulness of the source in helping you answer your research question, and a description of how you plan to utilize the source in your final research project. * NOTE ON SOURCE USE IN THE PROPOSAL: You may reference sources in your project proposal that are not included in your annotated bibliography as long as you fully utilize APA citation requirements and list the sources on a separate References page at the end of your proposal.

Assignment Guidelines: Select one artist covered in the lecture and one of their artworks to critique. Title the essay in a way that provides anticipation for the content of the essay. In the introductory paragraph of your essay, introduce the artist and artwork providing background information for each. For example: What is the artist’s name? What is their nationality? Where do they live? What type of work do they make? What artwork are you going to cover? What is its title? What materials is it made out of? When was it made? How is the piece experienced? At the end of the introductory paragraph, provide your thesis. This is your critique of the artwork. There are many judgements you may have for the work of art you are writing about and it is up to you to develop those into your critique. If you are struggling to develop your critique, start with considering the effectiveness or impact of the artwork. Does the artwork change the way you think about something? Does it not? Does it make you think differently about some ideas, but not others? Does the work operate only on sensationalism or shock value? Is the work well-researched and nuanced providing many interpretations by many different people? In the following paragraphs, describe the artwork at length and provide your arguments that support and flesh out your critique of the artwork. In these paragraphs, you are answering WHY you critique the artwork in this way. In your concluding paragraph, relay your thesis (that is not just re-stating it) that summarizes your perceived impact of the work of art. Think about the artwork’s personal impact upon you, the cultural impact of the artwork, the historical impact, and/or the political impact of the artwork. 7. Embed an image of the work you discussed within your essay. Add an appropriate citation to your Works Cited page. Examples of art critics writing art reviews: Roberta Smith’s review of Orlan from 1993. David J. Getsy’s review of Cassils from 2017. Kara Q. Smith’s review of Stelarc from 2012. Technical Requirements: Your response to this assignment must contain between 500 – 700 words to receive top marks with a maximum of 700 words in length (not including bibliography). Your response must be conceptually polished and fully edited when submitted as a finished product. Your response must be submitted to its assigned CANVAS assignment box by the due date and time assigned for this assignment. All research sources used must be fully and accurately documented using the citation standards of the Modern Language Association (MLA). See Writing Guidelines and Student Sample Paper for more information. Your response must be formatted in a readable typeface (e. g., Arial, Times New Roman, Helvetica) and saved as a DOC/DOCX (Microsoft word) file. No other file formats will be accepted for evaluation. Double-spaced, 12 pt. font size, 1-inch margins on all sides, and only one space after periods or other punctuation marks. Provide a title for all written assignments for modules 1-6 and for the final paper. When submitting your response to the CANVAS assignment box, please label your file “FIRST NAME LAST NAME ASSIGNMENT #”. For example, “Sidney Mullis Assignment 4”. Successful participation in this module exercise will demonstrate the student’s ability to: Identify and analyze this recorded lecture, as well as perform self-directed research to relay an understanding of contemporary art themes, practices, artworks and art terminology. Identify and analyze this recorded lecture, as well as perform self-directed research to relay an understanding of historical, cultural, social and political events and ideologies that implicate contemporary culture. The only term you cannot choose for this exercise is “globalization.” Anything else is fair game. Once you’ve chosen your term or concept, I’d like you to create a meme that reflects the concept. Include your meme in your post. Then, briefly (in one paragraph) explain your meme. Why did you pick this term, what are you trying to convey in your meme. Be original and creative. You won’t be able to see your classmates posts until you post so duplicate concepts will not be penalized. Your meme and explanation paragraph must be your original work. Term: Free Trade

You can search other resources to help you understanding but please don’t cite in my essay. Thanks! Aniconism and Iconoclasm: 400-word essay Due: Friday October 23 @11:00am Up until now we have encountered three moments in which the use of images has been debated within the monotheistic religions. Judaism was profoundly aniconic, without images of its God, and banned images entirely, as did Islam. Christianity ultimately embraced images of its God (and other holy figures, the Virgin and Saints above all), but not without extensive debate, with a strong opposition party supporting a ban on images in the 8th century. In the 16th century, the Lutheran and Calvinist Reformation reopened that debate. Calvinists removed all images from their churches, while Lutherans settled on a lesser role of images. The Roman church, henceforth Catholicism, however completely embraced the use of images. This assignment asks you to look at one side of the debates (the position taken AGAINST images), primarily in Christianity. Iconoclasm is the destruction of images. Therefore, iconoclasm was the enactment of a policy against images, many, many of which populated the altars and walls of Christian churches since the time the Western Church officially embraced images. Iconoclasm, or the destruction of images, is an action that often followed the debates over the question: should there be images of the Christian God and Saints, or should there be no images? The primary sources that you are reading for this assignment discuss their aniconic policies, not the iconoclasm that arose from them. To Do List: Read: (Please Please you must read before writing/ only use the sources I gave u ) The Torah (Old Testament): selected passages of God’s Commandments to the Israelites (this was assigned reading in Week 4) Iconoclasm debates of the 8th-9th centuries CE in the Christian Church: excerpt from the Caroline Books Debates of the 16th century that divided the Roman Church into Reformed and Catholic confessions: excerpt from Andreas Karlstadt, “On the Removal of Images” (1521) (pp. 21-25). Karlstadt was a Reform theologian of the early 16th century who advocated the extreme position of disallowing images in the churches. Write: 400 words In your essay analyze the different reasons the writers of the three texts give to reject images of the Jewish God (in the case of the Torah, or Old Testament) and the Christian God( in the case of the Caroline Books and in the treatise of Karlstadt); further, discuss the overlap and distinctions between the concepts of damnatio memoriae and iconoclasm. Proofread, read out loud Format: 12 point type, Times Roman Font, Double-spaced. Chicago Style citations. Submit: On Quercus “Writing Assignment #2 Iconoclasm”. Attach the completed and signed Academic Integrity form. Note: Acceptable file formats: doc, docx, pdf. Classification using cladograms worksheet (10 pts)You will turn in this worksheet. ________________________________________This section is designed as an easy points getter : )The path the course is now taking is to identify traits/characteristics and to think about how those traits have affected the species in question. For example, we have reviewed a bit about the changes in the skeletons of humans and other species. In those things we have noted skeletons have changed in a sequence overtime in that;● Human types have special adaptations which allow and require a two legged walk, aka facultative bipedalism.● There are isolation forces, geographic isolation, which can produce changes in animal types based on the ecosystem. For example,Foster’s Rule.● That variation of species is measurable as noted by Darwin’s Finches. Here in this section, there is a short lesson which gets the student acquainted with the process of biological classification. This is a small and simple lesson to give the idea of distinct traits, and mosaic species. This process can start with some basic assumptions, scientific ones, that things potentially get more complex as they change. It is important to note that a species can become simpler to survive but it also noted that some things become more complex. That being said we will start with the assumption that; things potentially get more complex as they change. Simpler is then older and more complex is newer. Note in following species, Andersenii aquaticus, is about first, the identification of the simply described simplest form of the organism, noted by the membranes (borders) and nothing else distinctive (Table1, Key concept 1.) This lesson assesses Mendel’s first law of: segregation. That is that offspring inherit their traits from parents. Therefore, related species had to get their traits from ones that existed before. It assesses evolutionary theory in showing that organisms tend towards complexity but at time entropy happens and things leave the family line. It shows the theory of phylogenetics ( gene types) and shows the relation in arbitrary time on the cladogram.

Why does Coser believe that conflict is good for society? Discuss a real-life example in which a social conflict followed and lent support to Coser’s theory. Discuss a real-life example of the Thomas Theorem: “If men define situations as real, they are real in their consequences.” What does this mean to you? How can it be applied to the example you’ve identified? “Conflict theory” derives from the critical work of Karl Marx on economic inequality under capitalism; Coser’s analysis comes from structural-functionalism. How might social conflict be understood using symbolic interactionism? Come up with and discuss an application of this theory to the question of conflict.
