1.Based on your readings, describe what you consider to be the responsibility of top leadership in a large organization with respect to reaching a balance between profits and stakeholder concerns. Please support your position by giving some examples from the text or from other sources where CEOs did a good or poor job of finding this balance.
2.Terris discusses the history of business ethics in America since the late 1800s with respect to anti-competitive practices, seeking unfair advantage through immoral arrangements with suppliers and public officials, failing to adhere to laws and regulations, and lack of transparency. Discuss to what extent you believe things to be better or worse in the present day for businesses in general.
3.On page 41, Terris discusses the ideas of Howard Bowen regarding the evolution of social
responsibility of businesses. To what extent do you think his predictions held true since 1953?
Your paper should have a separate cover page and a separate reference page containing the full citations corresponding to the in-text citations you choose to use in the body of your paper. So in addition to the 4- to 5-page body of your paper you will have a title page and a reference page. So overall, you will be submitting a 6 page document.

Readings: Zadie Smith, Joy Helen Rosner, Christ in the Garden of Endless Breadsticks In ‘Joy, Smith invites us to rethink the experience of ‘pleasure’ and ‘joy’ and argues that the experience of joy is central to the human experience. In the first paper, I would like you to put Smith’s theory of joy to work, determining whether it can help us understand the appeal of ‘The Olive Garden’ as discussed by Rosner. To what extent can we use Smith’s understanding of ‘joy’ and ‘pleasure’ to rethink the ‘agonies and ecstasies’ of the Olive Garden? How might Rosner’s view of the Olive Garden help refine or complicate Smith’s understanding of joy? Additional questions you might want to consider: Are there moments of ‘joy’ in Rosner’s discussion of eating at The Olive Garden? In what way do they conform to ‘joy’? In what way are they different? How could this be related to Gaugin’s painting? For Smith, joy has a complicated process. Is there something similar at the Olive Garden? Is the experience of eating food always simply a pleasure? Does Rosner offer a more positive version of what Smith calls ‘joy’? A more negative one? Smith often refers to pleasure as a release from anxiety. What is the role of anxiety in both essays?

Respiration at Rest versus Exercising This is a Hands-On Labs experiment that explores the differences in respiration at rest and during exercise. Before you start, watch the following videos to become more familiar with the lungs. The first video is narrated using basic terminology, so it is easier for the viewer to understand. The second video is more extensive, showing more structures of the lungs, including the diaphragm. This video also shows the placement of the liver and reviews the structures of the heart. Video 1: What’s inside the lungs? Lung Dissection At-Bristol Science Centre (4:30) Video 2: Heart & Lung Dissection (11:52) Procedure Follow the procedures detailed in the Respiratory Physiology experiment from Hands-On labs. During the lab, you will breathe into a balloon while you are resting to record how much air is in a single exhalation at rest. You will then exercise for a bit and assess how much air you exhale when you are active. Be sure to follow the instructions in the lab to complete the experiment. Record your data and calculate your tidal volume, minute ventilation, forced vital capacity, and total lung volume. When you are done, write a report or create a presentation. You do not need to submit the Lab Report Assistant for grading. Create a Report Use the following outline to describe the data from your lab in a report. Label each portion of the lab as described below. Introduction: Start with a broad discussion of the lungs, and then narrow your focus to the question(s) that you are trying to answer. Include any observations or background information about the lungs that may pertain to the lab. Conclude the introduction with a hypothesis—a statement that reflects what you believe the outcome of this lab will be. What are you comparing and what do you expect will happen? Material List: Identify all items that you used and the exact quantities, as applicable. This may be a very short section. Methods: Describe how you conducted the experiment, including any safety precautions you took while performing the lab. Be sure to include any changes that you made to the original instructions. Did you use different exercises? This should be a short, paraphrased version of the methods from the lab. Do not copy from the lab; Turnitin will highlight it as plagiarism. Results/Data: Create a table or a figure that reflects/compares the results of your experiment. Discussion: Review your results and determine if your experiment supports or refutes your hypothesis. Explain why. Then expand your discussion to address why and how your body creates the changes you observed as you increased your level of activity. Be specific and give details. What impact would changes to your lifestyle, such as increasing or decreasing your regular level of activity, have on the values you calculated? Conclusion: End with a section describing something that intrigued you about the lab; identify errors that may have impacted your results, or note errors in the lab itself; and provide recommendations for future labs. Requirements: If you are doing the report, it should be 4-5 pages long, not including the title page. Reference at least two journal articles. Include a title page, or title slide for the presentation, and references at the end. Follow the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA.

It is a well-known fact that people need to exercise to prevent being afflicted with diseases, especially those that are caused by unhealthy lifestyle. However, keeping an exercise routine for a college student is easily said than done. On the one hand, this is due to the number of academic requirements that we have to do every day. On the other hand, this is also due to the social life and other extra-curricular activities that consume most of our idle time. In other words, while exercising is noted in the calendars of most college students, this usually gets relegated when there is any spare time after everything else. However, what I realized lately was that exercising need not be done and scheduled as a whole day activity per week. Instead, I saw some videos saying that by doing small but continuous physical efforts every day (e.g., walking to school instead of riding the bus) one can experience the benefits of a one-time-per-week routine that others are doing. About this, I also realized that this kind of method could also be done in other aspects of life such as dieting by changing parts of what you eat little by little and not in one fell sweep. In fact, for four weeks now I make sure to walk going to school and other places and reduce the number of calories that I eat by changing portions of my meals to fruits. While the results might not be that good as having a strenuous workout routine, I believe that this is doing me well given that I have a very tight schedule. All in all, I think that by doing things little by little, I could then convince myself to increase the strenuousness of my activities little by little.

Project Management Individual Project Management Plan Team Project – Individual Project Management Plan Please read the Team project “Project Charter Uber Tour” doc in the attachment first, Then write the individual project management plan—- focus on the Project Risk Management only 1. Introduction 2. Goals 3. Objectives 4. Roles and Responsibilities 5. Deliverables 6. For each planning process associated with the knowledge area covered by your plan (as described in class and PMBOK), describe how the process will be handled for the project. You should also list and describe the inputs, tools and techniques and outputs of the process. In PMBOK:[planning process] -Plan Risk Management -Identify Risks -Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis -Perform Quantitative Risk Analysis – Plan Risk Responses -Implement Risk Responses -Monitoring and Controlling Process Group -Monitor Risks Your plan should be written in a narrative format, providing ample description within each section. It is not sufficient to simply provide a series of bulleted lists of materials! There is no length constraint, but plans do not have to be long! You have to keep in mind also that your plan is not intended to summarize the results of analysis and responses. It is supposed to describe how the communications management processes would be executed and who would do that work. Think of your plan as providing instructions to the project team as to how to do the necessary work in this area. Do your own work and make sure you answer all the questions. It will submit on the Turnitin. Submission will be sent to Turnitin to be electronically reviewed for plagiarism.
