Country: south africa This assignment asks you to answer three questions: (1) What are the country’s main contributions to GEC (e.g. methane, CO2, biodiversity loss, soil erosion, etc.), and what are their sources (e.g. industry, deforestation, urbanization, etc.)? (2) What are the primary effects of GEC in your assigned country, and who/what is most impacted? (potential and already realized). (3) Taking (1) and (2) above together, what does your analysis tell us about questions of equity and fairness? Please note: In answering this, it is important to keep in mind that the primary effects of GEC on your assigned country are not caused solely by emissions from the country in question – emissions are produced globally, with some countries producing more than others. As you answer this question, be sure to engage with core course concepts. 3-4 pages double spaced 12 pt font. The practice of health care providers at all levels brings you into contact with people from a variety of faiths. This calls for knowledge and acceptance of a diversity of faith expressions. The purpose of this paper is to complete a comparative ethical analysis of George’s situation and decision from the perspective of two worldviews or religions: Christianity and a second religion of your choosing. For the second faith, choose a faith that is unfamiliar to you. Examples of faiths to choose from include Sikh, Baha’i, Buddhism, Shintoism, etc. In your comparative analysis, address all of the worldview questions in detail for Christianity and your selected faith. Refer to Chapter 2 of Called to Care for the list of questions. Once you have outlined the worldview of each religion, begin your ethical analysis from each perspective. In a minimum of 1,500-2,000 words, provide an ethical analysis based upon the different belief systems, reinforcing major themes with insights gained from your research, and answering the following questions based on the research: How would each religion interpret the nature of George’s malady and suffering? Is there a “why” to his disease and suffering? (i.e., is there a reason for why George is ill, beyond the reality of physical malady?) In George’s analysis of his own life, how would each religion think about the value of his life as a person, and value of his life with ALS? What sorts of values and considerations would each religion focus on in deliberating about whether or not George should opt for euthanasia? Given the above, what options would be morally justified under each religion for George and why? Finally, present and defend your own view. Support your position by referencing at least three academic resources (preferably from the GCU Library) in addition to the course readings, lectures, the Bible, and the textbooks for each religion. Each religion must have a primary source included. A total of six references are required according to the specifications listed above. Incorporate the research into your writing in an appropriate, scholarly manner. I chose Buddhism as a religion for comparison in this assignment. Make sure to Include references from the Bible , New World Translation and address each requirement on the instructions. The Case Study was uploaded as a PDF doc. Thank you very much for your help

In no more than six sentences, explore the connection between your two annotated passages in the following way. Pick two passages from the novel Beloved, Pick one motif or technique shared by both passages and compare and contrast how this technique or motif is used in each. Then imagine what problem or question the novel is trying to think through in these two passages. Your claim should articulate your judgment about what important question or problem is at issue in these passages. You do not have to say how the novel solves this problem or answers this question. In fact, you should not attempt to. Your task is use close analysis of the language of the passages to identify that question with as much nuance and precision as you can. In no more than six sentences, explore the connection between your two annotated passages in the following way. Then imagine what problem or question the novel is trying to think through in these two passages. In fact, you should not attempt to. Your task is use close analysis of the language of the passages to identify that question with as much nuance and precision as you can. Hint 1: Perhaps the best way to make a claim about what question the passages are preoccupied with is to use the following template: Through the motif/technique of _____________, these passages pose the question of what/how/why/to what extent/under what conditions __________________. In the blank there should be at least one noun, maybe more, and at least one verb, and the noun should name the crucial topic that the passages are exploring. If you decide not to use this template, you may be avoiding the task in the prompt. Hint 2: Motif should not be confused with topic or theme. Remember that a motif is a concrete image or phrase that is repeated across the novel and that out of which a significant pattern is made. Death or memory are topics; “rememory” or “chokecherry tree” or 124’s “white staircase” or “pieces” or “weight” or “A man ain’t nothin but a man” are motifs. A novel like Beloved says what it has to say about the topics it is concerned with by developing its motifs in the way that it does. Hint 3: Although you do not have to focus on point of view as your technique, you should be mindful of which characters’ thoughts are being reported in the passages you’ve chosen. As we’ve seen, the narrative function within this novel is almost always to report the thoughts of particular characters.

Chapter 5 is all about learning behavior. Each and everyone one of us has acquired a number of behaviors over many, many years. And whether these behaviors are good, bad or extremely ugly, they were learned through one of the three learning theories we’ve been discussing (at least according to learning theorists). The great thing about learning is that if a behavior can be learned, odds are that it can be unlearned. In this reflection paper your goal is to: What is the behavior? Identify ONE BAD HABIT that you have LEARNED but would like to change. Choose ONLY ONE bad habit and focus on that. Do NOT choose something more complex that could be considered a personality trait or an emotion–that would be difficult to explain using learning theory. Remember, Behaviorists focus on OBSERVABLE, MEASURABLE behavior. For example, don’t say “I’d like to change my anger,” or “shyness”, or “my tendency to please others”–these are NOT good choices. These are emotions/personality traits that are not likley to be learned through behaviorist theories. BAD choices for this paper = anger, anxiety, shyness, rudeness, people pleasing etc. GOOD EXAMPLES for this paper= procrastination, nail biting, smoking, drinking, overeating, too much TV/videogames/social media, etc. These can ALL be easily measured so that you can Something that you can easily see if you begin doing more or less of this habit. Then briefly describe the behavior and how it has become problematic in your life. What learning theory applies? Identify which theory (classical conditioning, operant conditioning, or social-cognitive learning theory) best explains how you acquired the behavior and why? Be sure to use terminology that is appropriate to that learning theory. The point of your essay is to demonstrate your understanding of these theories and your ability to apply them accurately, so you MUST be detailed. How can you unlearn this behavior? Now that you have explained how you acquired this behavior, use learning theory to discuss how you can extinguish the behavior. Which learning theory (classical conditioning, operant conditioning, or social-cognitive learning theory) will you use to help unlearn the behavior and how? What is the specific plan? Again, be sure to use appropriate learning theory terminology. It is necessary to demonstrate an understanding of the material in Chapter 5, Module 3. Grammar, Spelling and Organization. This is a college level ESSAY and should be organized in essay format. An essay is NEVER one long paragraph. You should carefully spell check and grammar check your work. Try this: Read your essay OUT LOUD and see how it sounds. If there are sentences that make you pause, then they are not good sentences—fix them. Remember you may also utilize the writing center for assistance–they are excellent and can set up online appointments to help review your work. They can proofread a draft and offer suggestions ONLINE. The following grading rubric will be used, so make sure that you have accurately addressed each component. Remember, the point of the essay is to demonstrate an understanding of the theories presented in Chapter 5/Module 3 and your ability to accurately apply those theories: Topic Area Points ONE Problematic Bad/Habit Clearly Identified, Detailed & Measurable /3 Acquisition: Choose ONE theory (classical conditioning, operant conditioning OR social-learning theory) as the cause of your bad habit. Correctly explain how the behavior has caused the acquisition of your bad habit by using specific, detailed and correct terminology from the theory. /7 Extinction: Choose ONE theory (classical conditioning, operant conditioning OR social-learning theory) to plan for extinction of your bad habit. Correctly explain how you will apply the theory by using specific, detailed and correct terminology from the theory. /7 Overall quality: Clarity, organization, grammar, spelling and APA citations if applicable). /3 Other Guidelines: Papers MUST be submitted here. Emailed papers or attachments will not be accepted. You SHOULD type your essay directly into the assignment (you can exit and return as many times as you like until you hit the submit button). You can cut and paste from a word document BUT keep in mind that if you cut and paste IT MAY CHANGE the formatting of your work. If this happens you should fix the formatting to ensure proper essay format before submitting. The essay should be no more than 2 pages (approximately 500 words) in length, using 12 point font, double spaced (if you type directly into Canvas, it will double space for you). When you mention a concept or theory in your paper, be sure to provide a definition/explanation from the textbook. When you take a definition/explanation from the textbook, do not copy it word for word; instead, paraphrase in your own words and cite the textbook in APA style (Hockenbury and Hockenbury, 2016, pg #). BEWARE of PLAGARISM.

Create a table or tab in the worksheet of all of the occupations in your state of choice that have the word “manage”* in the Occupational Title field. You’ve now created a subset of the original data set from which additional analysis can be made. *The term managerial positions will be defined as any position with the word “manage” in the title. The reason the word “manage” should be used as a filter is that this will include occupations with the word manager or management in the title. Answer the following questions using the data subset you created: What is the average salary for your chosen state of all managerial positions? How many total managerial positions are available in your state? What percentage of the total number of employment positions in your state are managerial positions? ***Hint: You will need to refer back to all of the positions in your state to calculate this. What does this information mean to you as a prospective job seeker in this state looking for a managerial position?

Let’s go back to the example of general Mills that we discussed in class. Remember how they charted a course into a new sector of the food industry? If you were one of the founders of General Mills for example, how would you have assessed these 5 forces as you staked out your market niche? In your response, please describe your assessment of each of these 5 forces. On a scale of High/Medium/Low, rate each of these risks as viewed by the founding entrepreneurs. Respiration at Rest versus Exercising This is a Hands-On Labs experiment that explores the differences in respiration at rest and during exercise. Before you start, watch the following videos to become more familiar with the lungs. The first video is narrated using basic terminology, so it is easier for the viewer to understand. The second video is more extensive, showing more structures of the lungs, including the diaphragm. This video also shows the placement of the liver and reviews the structures of the heart. Video 1: What’s inside the lungs? Lung Dissection At-Bristol Science Centre (4:30) Video 2: Heart & Lung Dissection (11:52) Procedure Follow the procedures detailed in the Respiratory Physiology experiment from Hands-On labs. During the lab, you will breathe into a balloon while you are resting to record how much air is in a single exhalation at rest. You will then exercise for a bit and assess how much air you exhale when you are active. Be sure to follow the instructions in the lab to complete the experiment. Record your data and calculate your tidal volume, minute ventilation, forced vital capacity, and total lung volume. When you are done, write a report or create a presentation. You do not need to submit the Lab Report Assistant for grading. Create a Report Use the following outline to describe the data from your lab in a report. Label each portion of the lab as described below. Introduction: Start with a broad discussion of the lungs, and then narrow your focus to the question(s) that you are trying to answer. Include any observations or background information about the lungs that may pertain to the lab. Conclude the introduction with a hypothesis—a statement that reflects what you believe the outcome of this lab will be. What are you comparing and what do you expect will happen? Material List: Identify all items that you used and the exact quantities, as applicable. This may be a very short section. Methods: Describe how you conducted the experiment, including any safety precautions you took while performing the lab. Be sure to include any changes that you made to the original instructions. Did you use different exercises? This should be a short, paraphrased version of the methods from the lab. Do not copy from the lab; Turnitin will highlight it as plagiarism. Results/Data: Create a table or a figure that reflects/compares the results of your experiment. Discussion: Review your results and determine if your experiment supports or refutes your hypothesis. Explain why. Then expand your discussion to address why and how your body creates the changes you observed as you increased your level of activity. Be specific and give details. What impact would changes to your lifestyle, such as increasing or decreasing your regular level of activity, have on the values you calculated? Conclusion: End with a section describing something that intrigued you about the lab; identify errors that may have impacted your results, or note errors in the lab itself; and provide recommendations for future labs. Requirements: If you are doing the report, it should be 4-5 pages long, not including the title page. Reference at least two journal articles. Include a title page, or title slide for the presentation, and references at the end. Follow the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA.
