Aural Analysis of Tchaikovsky – Symphony No. 4 – III. Scherzo. Pizzicato ostinato – Allegro

Tchaikovsky’s symphony is perhaps one of the most famous pieces in the world. It is composed of four different sound movements, each of which are played by a variety of wind, string, and percussion instruments such as piccolos, cymbals, drums, clarinets, and violins, among others. Upon listening upon the whole piece, I realized that the some of the things that makes the piece very pleasing to the ears are its structure and tempo. Nonetheless, Tchaikovsky’s ability to integrate all the elements of music into something that complements one another is another thing that makes this symphony addictive.
Initially, the symphony starts with a series of irregular, short, and low pitched notes played by the violins, cellos, and double cellos. Even though it seems inaudible at first, the pitch of the initial piece varies greatly in a regular manner with different peaks and troughs that catches the listener’s attention. Overall, the initial section creates an interesting upbeat pattern with short notes and fast tempos.

As it progresses, the symphony starts increasing in pitch until the wind instruments kick in. The start of the succeeding section is signaled by one long and high (in pitch) note from a wind instrument. During this time, the pitch significantly increases thereby creating the feeling as if this part is similar yet different from the initial section.

PARADOX SETUP There are 10 identical boxes on a shelf, each with a padlock. There is only 1 key that can open all of these 10 boxes and Stu has the key. Prof places a unique token (called a “test”) into 1 of the 10 boxes. Stu then locks them all and leaves the room. Prof can move the boxes around in any way she wants, but she must line them up on the shelf from left to right. When Stu comes back into the room, he will open the boxes from left to right. Now imagine that Stu is playing against Prof in a game. The rules are that Prof wins if she can create an algorithm (i.e., a method) to guarantee that Stu is surprised when he opens the box that contains the token. So, Stu is absolutely certain that the test is in one of the boxes and he knows that Prof wants to win the game and will do her best to surprise Stu. Stu wins the game if Prof’s algorithm does not guarantee that Stu will be surprised. • If we assume that everyone involved is perfectly rational, who will win this game, Stu or Prof? • If you think that Prof will win, provide the strategy that you think she can win with, along with an explanation for why it guarantees that Stu will be surprised. • If you think that Stu will win, explain in detail why it will be impossible for Prof to come up with any algorithm that wins with 10 boxes. Will Stu win regardless of how many boxes Prof can use? Explain. Answer section 1 (300 words), section 2 (150 words), and section 3 (150 words) This easy is essay 2 which called group essay in the requirement, it need to separate in to three section.

Country: south africa This assignment asks you to answer three questions: (1) What are the country’s main contributions to GEC (e.g. methane, CO2, biodiversity loss, soil erosion, etc.), and what are their sources (e.g. industry, deforestation, urbanization, etc.)? (2) What are the primary effects of GEC in your assigned country, and who/what is most impacted? (potential and already realized). (3) Taking (1) and (2) above together, what does your analysis tell us about questions of equity and fairness? Please note: In answering this, it is important to keep in mind that the primary effects of GEC on your assigned country are not caused solely by emissions from the country in question – emissions are produced globally, with some countries producing more than others. As you answer this question, be sure to engage with core course concepts. 3-4 pages double spaced 12 pt font. 1.A useful initial step in analyzing any movie is to distinguish an individual scene’s content from its form. Try to first identify a scene’s subject matter: What is this scene about? What happens? Once you have established that content, you should consider how that content was expressed. What was the mood of the scene? What do you understand about each character’s state of mind? How did you perceive and interpret each moment? Did that understanding shift at any point? Once you know what happened and how you felt about it, search the scene for those formal elements that influenced your interpretation and experience. The combination and interplay of multiple formal elements that you seek is the cinematic language that movies employ to communicate with the viewer.(20points) 2.Do any narrative or visual patterns recur a sufficient number of times to suggest a structural element in themselves? If so, what are these patterns? Do they help you determine the meaning of the film? (20points) 3.Do you notice anything particular about the movie’s presentation of cinematic space—what you see on the screen? Lots of landscapes or close-ups? Moving or static camera? (10points) 4.Does the director manipulate our experience of time? Is this condensing, slowing, speeding, repeating, or reordering of time simply practical (as in removing insignificant events), or is it expressive? If it is expressive, just what does it express? (20points) 5.Does the director’s use of lighting help to create meaning? If so, how? (10points) 6.Do you identify with the camera lens? What does the director compel you to see? What is left to your imagination? What does the director leave out altogether? In the end, besides showing you the action, how does the director’s use of the camera help to create the movie’s meaning? (20points)

Classification using cladograms worksheet (10 pts)You will turn in this worksheet. ________________________________________This section is designed as an easy points getter : )The path the course is now taking is to identify traits/characteristics and to think about how those traits have affected the species in question. For example, we have reviewed a bit about the changes in the skeletons of humans and other species. In those things we have noted skeletons have changed in a sequence overtime in that;● Human types have special adaptations which allow and require a two legged walk, aka facultative bipedalism.● There are isolation forces, geographic isolation, which can produce changes in animal types based on the ecosystem. For example,Foster’s Rule.● That variation of species is measurable as noted by Darwin’s Finches. Here in this section, there is a short lesson which gets the student acquainted with the process of biological classification. This is a small and simple lesson to give the idea of distinct traits, and mosaic species. This process can start with some basic assumptions, scientific ones, that things potentially get more complex as they change. It is important to note that a species can become simpler to survive but it also noted that some things become more complex. That being said we will start with the assumption that; things potentially get more complex as they change. Simpler is then older and more complex is newer. Note in following species, Andersenii aquaticus, is about first, the identification of the simply described simplest form of the organism, noted by the membranes (borders) and nothing else distinctive (Table1, Key concept 1.) This lesson assesses Mendel’s first law of: segregation. That is that offspring inherit their traits from parents. Therefore, related species had to get their traits from ones that existed before. It assesses evolutionary theory in showing that organisms tend towards complexity but at time entropy happens and things leave the family line. It shows the theory of phylogenetics ( gene types) and shows the relation in arbitrary time on the cladogram.
