Sasha Blake and Redemption
Sasha Blake and Bennie had a long history between them. Being two of the main characters in the story, these two characters have affected their character development and their quest for redemption. Back in his high school days, in 1979, Bennie Salazar was the leader of The Red Flamingo Dildos band, all together with his circle of friends, among other peers. Back then, he was head over heels with Alison, but the unfortunate thing is Alison and her affection was won over by Scotty, Bennie’s friend. He got The Red Flamingo Dildos into the Mabuhay Gardens, or as what they called it, the “Mab,” to play a gig that turned out quite a mess, but through the trending punk scene in San Francisco Bennie met with a producer named Lou Kline, who later on, became his mentor. Then in the book, we see that Bennie eventually came as a representative of the Conduits as found a job at Sow’s Ear Records and became successful with the help of his assistant named Sasha, whom he met at a party when he was at his 20s.

From his ex-wife, Stephanie, he has a child, a son, named Chris, who he once lived within the upscale neighborhood of Crandale. Slowly, as he found himself inevitably aging, he realized that he was losing his touch and found out that he missed the way music used to be– unrefined, raw, and something coming from the soul, something real.
Sasha and Bennie had a complicated relationship. Since she was his assistant, Bennie’s actions affected her deeply. For example, Bennie has a habit of scribbling down things he has a fond memory of, things that just suddenly appear into his conscious and that are precious to him. In this book we find a very unusual something Bennie also do, he consumes gold as a remedy, no, a cure, to erectile dysfunction, which he habitually mixes in with his coffee, subsequently after browsing through her favorite book on traditional Aztec medicine, which says that both coffee and gold could be an excellent way to ensure sexual potency. Bennie’s goal was more basic than potency: sex drive, his own having mysteriously expired, also he was thinking that it will revitalize the thrill and excitement he despairingly wants from life.

Aniconism and Iconoclasm: 400-word essay Due: Friday October 23 @11:00am Up until now we have encountered three moments in which the use of images has been debated within the monotheistic religions. Judaism was profoundly aniconic, without images of its God, and banned images entirely, as did Islam. Christianity ultimately embraced images of its God (and other holy figures, the Virgin and Saints above all), but not without extensive debate, with a strong opposition party supporting a ban on images in the 8th century. In the 16th century, the Lutheran and Calvinist Reformation reopened that debate. Calvinists removed all images from their churches, while Lutherans settled on a lesser role of images. The Roman church, henceforth Catholicism, however completely embraced the use of images. This assignment asks you to look at one side of the debates (the position taken AGAINST images), primarily in Christianity. Iconoclasm is the destruction of images. Therefore, iconoclasm was the enactment of a policy against images, many, many of which populated the altars and walls of Christian churches since the time the Western Church officially embraced images. Iconoclasm, or the destruction of images, is an action that often followed the debates over the question: should there be images of the Christian God and Saints, or should there be no images? The primary sources that you are reading for this assignment discuss their aniconic policies, not the iconoclasm that arose from them. To Do List: Read: (Please Please you must read before writing/ only use the sources I gave u ) The Torah (Old Testament): selected passages of God’s Commandments to the Israelites (this was assigned reading in Week 4) Iconoclasm debates of the 8th-9th centuries CE in the Christian Church: excerpt from the Caroline Books Debates of the 16th century that divided the Roman Church into Reformed and Catholic confessions: excerpt from Andreas Karlstadt, “On the Removal of Images” (1521) (pp. 21-25). Karlstadt was a Reform theologian of the early 16th century who advocated the extreme position of disallowing images in the churches. Write: 400 words In your essay analyze the different reasons the writers of the three texts give to reject images of the Jewish God (in the case of the Torah, or Old Testament) and the Christian God( in the case of the Caroline Books and in the treatise of Karlstadt); further, discuss the overlap and distinctions between the concepts of damnatio memoriae and iconoclasm. Proofread, read out loud Format: 12 point type, Times Roman Font, Double-spaced. Chicago Style citations. Submit: On Quercus “Writing Assignment #2 Iconoclasm”. Attach the completed and signed Academic Integrity form. Note: Acceptable file formats: doc, docx, pdf. Discussion – Week 1 (preferred related to Psychiatric care since I work as a Psych Nurse) COLLAPSE Defining Quality As health care consumers, we all expect quality care and positive outcomes. It is important as professionals that we meet these demands of health care consumers. Consider the work of the major theorists you examined in this week’s Resources, and think about how these theories apply to your own experience as a health care customer and/or practitioner. By Day 3 Post your definition of quality, and apply it to the work of one major quality theorist (e.g., Donabedian, Juran, Deming, Triple Aim (IHI) – Berwick). Identify a practice problem that you have had some experience with as a customer or as a practitioner, and explain how eliminating wasteful practices could have improved the experience. Include how your definition of quality applies to that experience. Support your response with references from the professional nursing literature. Your posts need to be written at the capstone level (see checklist). Notes for Initial Post: A 3-paragraph (at least 350 words) response. Be sure to use evidence from the readings and include in-text citations. Utilize essay-level writing practice and skills, including the use of transitional material and organizational frames. Avoid quotes; paraphrase to incorporate evidence into your own writing. A reference list is required. Use the most current evidence (usually ≤ 5 years old). (Refer to AWE Checklist, Capstone) By Day 7 Read two or more of your colleagues’ postings from the Discussion question. Respond with a comment that asks for clarification, provides support for, or contributes additional information to two or more of your colleagues’ postings. Post a Discussion entry on three different days of the week. See the Discussion Rubric found in the Course Information area. Hi, Please read the instructions for this assignment below. Please let me know which topic would you like to write about. The books we read so far including The Iliad and The Odyssey both by Homer, The Oresteia, Genesis, Job, and Sappho if not, winter. I would personally recommend to write The Iliad or odyssey. I must show proof of attendance to the Museum. You can find pictures online and please let me know which museum in NYC and topic did you pick then I will go there and take a picture of the one you write to show attendance. I would greatly appreciate it! just like the last assignment you did, do not use many big or really complicated words, but the ideas and structure of the essay must be super CLEAR. Thank you Want to ignore historical context and focus on your experience and your own analysis of the cultural piece. You may want to consider your own experience at the museum or theatrical event. And. discuss how this experience reshaped your interpretation or relationship to a text(s) we read this past semester. (Museum: what pieces were around it? Was the piece displayed as part of a theme, historical period, or an artist’s work? How did that shape your interaction with it? Theater: what was the production like? The sets? Costumes? The spectacle?) It is up to you. and there are many other ways you can approach this writing piece. OPTION TWO: For option two. discuss the connection between your creation and a text we read. You might approach this like a book review or artist exhibit review in a newspaper, discussing the major themes you sought to develop. Or. you might reflect on the process of making your work – what choices did you make in crafting your poetry/music/film etc.? Why? What inspired you initially from the original work that led to your creation? How did the process of creating this work make you appreciate a new aspect of the texts we read or the authors who wrote them? Again, it is up to you. and there are many other ways you can approach this writing piece. 1 Core in Contemporary Culture Due: Nov 8th1.1 The Core and Contemporary Culture Assignment: This assignment asks you to be creative and connect the literature we have read this semester to contemporary culture. You must submit 2-3 page writing assignment. 1) One option is that you may select a piece of NYC based western visual art. theater or film and examine them in conjunction with a piece of literature from this semester. These may be found through a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art or attendance of a performance (theater, poetiy. dance, etc.) in NYC. Write an analysis examining the piece/pieces you chose to discuss, relating them to the literature we have read, and how the engagement with the pieces you chose makes you think reflect understand the literature we have read this semester. As creativity is a component of the assignment, be selective in picking what you want to write about. 2) Alternatively, you may develop your own creative project (visual art. theater, poetiy. dialogue, letter). In addition to submitting your piece, you must write an analysis explaining how your work interprets and relates to literature we have read. Grading of this assignment will be based to some degree on creativity but mostly on your ability to present a clear, organized piece of writing that demonstrates an engagement with the text. DUE: The written assignments are due 11/9. In addition to submitting your written piece, you must show proof of attendance (photos of tickets or attendance/selected pieces) that may be submitted via email. For those of you going on the Met Tour. be creative in your selection of what work you want to use for your assignment. You may want to pick a piece not discussed on the torn- itself. You are welcome to go to the Met on your own time and pick a piece. **It is not necessary to construct an argument in the way that you do for the analytic essays. However, your essay, should be organized, and an argument or at least a clear introduction explaining the piece that you selected or created and its connection to the text(s) this past semester, may be helpful. I would also encourage you to make the connection between the cultural piece and what you saw obvious. Show engagement both with the text we read this past semester and draw connections between the text and the cultural piece you chose. You should cite or reference the text as needed. OPTION ONE: If you are doing option ONE. you have a variety of options. You may want to consider the historical context in which the cultural piece you selected was created.

Country: south africa This assignment asks you to answer three questions: (1) What are the country’s main contributions to GEC (e.g. methane, CO2, biodiversity loss, soil erosion, etc.), and what are their sources (e.g. industry, deforestation, urbanization, etc.)? (2) What are the primary effects of GEC in your assigned country, and who/what is most impacted? (potential and already realized). (3) Taking (1) and (2) above together, what does your analysis tell us about questions of equity and fairness? Please note: In answering this, it is important to keep in mind that the primary effects of GEC on your assigned country are not caused solely by emissions from the country in question – emissions are produced globally, with some countries producing more than others. Congress responded with one round of stimulus checks for citizens and are discussing a second. Are providing citizens a stimulus check fiscal or monetary policy, Keynesianism or supply-side economics? Define these 4 terms. Then, assume the role of economic advisor to Congress and the president. Should they use fiscal or monetary policy or both to bring the US economy out of the sudden recession? Keynesianism or supply-side economics? Use history and past economic policy to justify your argument. What are the consequences of your approach for the US, which currently has over a $26 trillion dollar deficit? President Nixon famously claimed implementation is policy, which highlights the potential power of the bureaucracy. What are the 3 powers or functions of the bureaucracy in policy implementation? Explain each power and how it works? Use the example of OSHA (the Occupational Safety and Health Agency) and illustrate how each power can come into play in their enforcement of a safe work environment. Finally, if the powers of the bureaucracy needs to be reined in, explain how Congress, the presidency, and/or the judiciary can check the bureaucracy.
