Part I.
1. Indentured servitude
a. Indentured servitude is a kind of labor contract wherein the laborer or indenture is made to work for an extended period without payment, salary, or compensation. Instead, the laborer is promised either eventual compensation for his works after a few years or cancellation of his previous debt against the employer. This form of labor contract was first utilized in America back in 1607 when the Virginia company first established its settlement in Jamestown, Virginia. The mode of indentured servitude is essential because it was one of the main driving forces of succeeding rebellions that would pave the way for American independence.
2. Bacon’s Rebellion
a. Bacon’s Rebellion happened in the years 1675 to 1676. It was an armed rebellion primarily undertaken by Bacon and other Virginian settlers wherein they threatened the colonial governor from Britain, ransacked the capital, and disrupted the existing status quo between the classes (and races) during those times. This is significant because it will serve as a spark for the subsequent movements dedicated to ending the colonial dependence of the Americas from Britain, such as the American Revolution that would happen more than one hundred years after Bacon’s Rebellion.

Instructions: Discussion – Week 1 (preferred related to Psychiatric care since I work as a Psych Nurse)
COLLAPSE
Defining Quality
As health care consumers, we all expect quality care and positive outcomes. It is important as professionals that we meet these demands of health care consumers. Consider the work of the major theorists you examined in this week’s Resources, and think about how these theories apply to your own experience as a health care customer and/or practitioner.
By Day 3
Post your definition of quality, and apply it to the work of one major quality theorist (e.g., Donabedian, Juran, Deming, Triple Aim (IHI) – Berwick). Identify a practice problem that you have had some experience with as a customer or as a practitioner, and explain how eliminating wasteful practices could have improved the experience. Include how your definition of quality applies to that experience.
Support your response with references from the professional nursing literature. Your posts need to be written at the capstone level (see checklist).
Notes for Initial Post: A 3-paragraph (at least 350 words) response. Be sure to use evidence from the readings and include in-text citations. Utilize essay-level writing practice and skills, including the use of transitional material and organizational frames. Avoid quotes; paraphrase to incorporate evidence into your own writing. A reference list is required. Use the most current evidence (usually ≤ 5 years old). (Refer to AWE Checklist, Capstone)
By Day 7
Read two or more of your colleagues’ postings from the Discussion question.
Respond with a comment that asks for clarification, provides support for, or contributes additional information to two or more of your colleagues’ postings.
Post a Discussion entry on three different days of the week. See the Discussion Rubric found in the Course Information area.

Instructions: This week you will begin work on your final project. Your final project will be counted as your final exam and will consist of preparing a Global Business Plan. A link to the outline is provided below:
This class strives to provide you with papers/projects that relate to real-world expectations. You will first choose a product or service (not both) and one country. This plan is specifically written for one product or service and one country – no comparison or contrasting!
After you have read the guidelines, write a few paragraphs which summarize your final project idea.
Submit this by the normal time on Monday but earlier would be better!
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding a product/service and/or a country of choice.
Take Note:
for this assignment, you need to select a topic and country selection. This is for a new market entry, for a product or service, that does not yet exist in that market. This is not research of an existing product.
iPhone already exists in the US and globally(WRONG).
The country selection should be a country you are not familiar.
Also, the product/service you select should ultimately meet the needs of the consumers in that market.
If you would like to select the iPhone 12 PRO, I need you to select and profile a country where it does not yet exist. 2 pages / approx 550 words | APA | Business & Marketing | Coursework | English (US) 🇺🇸 | Undergraduate |
Instructions: Urinalysis
This is a Hands-On Labs exercise that explores the characteristics of urine and what can cause those characteristics to change. You will be doing a visual inspection of urine and testing it with urinalysis test strips to assess the concentration of various compounds that may be present.
Procedure
Follow the directions for the Urinalysis experiment. Perform both parts: fasting and drinking distilled water. Record the data from the visual inspection and from the test strips in tables. Use that data to write a report, following the directions below for submission. **You do not need to submit the Lab Report Assistant**.
Create a Report
Use the following outline to describe the data from your lab in a report. Label each portion of the lab as described below.
Introduction: Start with a broad discussion of urine formation, and then narrow your focus to the question(s) that you are trying to answer. Conclude the introduction with a hypothesis—a statement that reflects what you believe the outcome of this lab will be. It’s a good idea to include a discussion of how you think each characteristic of urine tested will change between the fasting and distilled water consumption parts.
Material List: Identify all items that you used and the exact quantities, as applicable. This may be a very short section.
Methods: Describe how you conducted the experiment, including any safety precautions you took while performing the lab. Be sure to include any changes that you made to the original instructions. Did you use different exercises? This should be a short, paraphrased version of the methods from the lab. Do not copy from the lab; Turnitin will highlight it as plagiarism.
Results/Data: Create a table or a figure that reflects/compares the results of your experiment.
Discussion: Review your results and determine if your experiment supports or refutes your hypothesis. Explain why. Then expand your discussion to address why and how your body creates the changes you observed as you increased the level of hydration. What effect does fasting have on the results? Be specific and give details.
Conclusion: End with a section describing something that really intrigued you; identify errors that may have impacted your results, or note errors in the lab itself; and provide recommendations for future labs.
Requirements:
If you are doing the report, it should be 4-5 pages long, not including the title page.
Reference at least two journal articles.
Include a title page and references at the end.
Follow the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA. 4 pages / approx 1100 words | APA | Biological & Biomedical Sciences | Coursework | Undergraduate |
Instructions: The practice of health care providers at all levels brings you into contact with people from a variety of faiths. This calls for knowledge and acceptance of a diversity of faith expressions.
The purpose of this paper is to complete a comparative ethical analysis of George’s situation and decision from the perspective of two worldviews or religions: Christianity and a second religion of your choosing. For the second faith, choose a faith that is unfamiliar to you. Examples of faiths to choose from include Sikh, Baha’i, Buddhism, Shintoism, etc.
In your comparative analysis, address all of the worldview questions in detail for Christianity and your selected faith. Refer to Chapter 2 of Called to Care for the list of questions. Once you have outlined the worldview of each religion, begin your ethical analysis from each perspective.
In a minimum of 1,500-2,000 words, provide an ethical analysis based upon the different belief systems, reinforcing major themes with insights gained from your research, and answering the following questions based on the research:
How would each religion interpret the nature of George’s malady and suffering? Is there a “why” to his disease and suffering? (i.e., is there a reason for why George is ill, beyond the reality of physical malady?)
In George’s analysis of his own life, how would each religion think about the value of his life as a person, and value of his life with ALS?
What sorts of values and considerations would each religion focus on in deliberating about whether or not George should opt for euthanasia?
Given the above, what options would be morally justified under each religion for George and why?
Finally, present and defend your own view.
Support your position by referencing at least three academic resources (preferably from the GCU Library) in addition to the course readings, lectures, the Bible, and the textbooks for each religion. Each religion must have a primary source included. A total of six references are required according to the specifications listed above. Incorporate the research into your writing in an appropriate, scholarly manner.
I chose Buddhism as a religion for comparison in this assignment. Make sure to Include references from the Bible , New World Translation and address each requirement on the instructions.

Policy Brief
Infectious Diseases, Tuberculosis in India
From: Secretary of Health, India
To: Minister of Finance, India
Introduction:
400,000 Indians die each year from TB. It is the leading cause of death in the ages 15-45 and has the greatest affect on the poverty stricken regions. Several risk factors for TB are HIV, lack of knowledge, urban congestion and pollution, barriers in health care, and cultural differences. TB causes large economic losses, financial burdens to poor families, losses in education, and even familial rejection of infected women. To address TB we must promote DOT in the poorest sectors to improve knowledge and treatment, ensure efficient technology for diagnosis, and target HIV prevalent areas for proper treatment for co-infected patients. 2 pages / approx 550 words | APA | English (US) 🇺🇸 | Health, Medicine, & Nursing | Research Paper | Undergraduate |
Instructions: You will be expected to find current news articles pertaining to the current topics in the Strategy course and to describe issues related to the 3C’s and 4P’s. Most often, firms that are in the news are in the news for a “bad” reason – they’ve made a mistake and lost customer support which has led to declining purchases, negative word of mouth, etc. Using the week’s relevant material, I’d like for you to:
1. Tell me what the problem is (the firm is experiencing problems because…..)
2. Suggest 1-2 reasons for why the firm might be struggling (e.g., the firm is struggling because it produced a product that is inconsistent with the brand image or the firm is struggling because a competitor produced a better product)
3. Propose a reasonable way forward (i.e., what the firm can do to mitigate losses or to recover from losses in profits). By “reasonable,” I mean a solution the firm could actually implement in order to improve. This recommendation should be specific (not, “I recommend the firm research what consumers want or the firm needs to advertise on social media) and should follow logically from your analysis on the first two points. Full marks will be awarded to assignments with a specific, logical plan of action that makes sense given potential budget constraints. If you recommend overly expensive social media or advertising campaigns without considering the firm’s budget and resources, your recommendation is likely to be considered one that is superficial. That is, your recommendation should be feasible and reasonable, especially given the current economic climate with tight budgets.
Your assignment should be no more than 2 pages, double spaced, 12 point font. If you prefer to write less, that is fine as long as you answer the questions put forth above. You will complete four of these assignments and I will drop your lowest score. Because of this policy, I will not accept late submissions. Perhaps unsurprisingly components 2 and 3 above are the most important parts of the assignment and will be weighed most heavily.
All material should come from current issues in the news – I do not want you focusing on problems firms faced and “solved” a year ago, I want you to focus on the issues of that week. Trusted news sources include many major media outlets (WSJ, Financial Times, NY Times) as well as marketing trade publications (American Marketing Association, AdWeek). Please avoid using opinion pieces for the basis as they are not held to the same standards of journalistic integrity and might be biased.
I will provide feedback on your written assignments – as such, they might take some time to grade, especially if I am unable to access consistent childcare during the pandemic (1-2 weeks). Please keep this in mind. 2 pages / approx 550 words | APA | Business & Marketing | Case Study | Undergraduate |

Case Study B (50%):
Luke owns a lifeguard consulting company, supplying lifeguarding services to public and private schools in Edmonton. One of his female employees has made a complaint to the Alberta Human Rights Commission against Luke concerning gender discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace.
The employee alleges that she and the other women lifeguards were recently forced to wear newly issued skimpy company bikinis instead of the previous one-piece suits while performing their lifeguarding duties. Those who refused would be given last choice on shifts (which, practically speaking, meant that they would be getting no shifts). The complainant protested to Luke but eventually gave in since it was too late in the summer to find another job.
Additionally, the employee claims that, since the female staff was forced to wear the bikinis, Luke drops in constantly for site visits. His visits with females are more frequent and much longer lasting than with male staff. In fact, it is alleged that these visits have earned him the nickname of “Leering Luke.” Several female employees have told Luke that they find his behaviour unwelcome and are uncomfortable wearing the bikinis.
Luke knows about his nickname but stands behind his policy. According to Luke, business has increased and, as a result, there has been more to “supervise” at each visit.
Explain the concepts of gender discrimination and sexual harassment. Identify facts in the scenario which may support the employee’s claim and consider what other unstated facts, if proved, might also provide support. Identify a defense that Luke may raise. State your conclusion whether the situation involved discrimination or harassment, referring to the relevant facts and the strength of the defense.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION /1
This project should showcase the new slogan of Pepsi – Dare for More. It must have a strong impact to its viewers through the use of visual elements and a catchy storyline that would leave a sort of an emotional aftertaste to the viewers. In line with the current day issues, it must include the use of actresses as the protagonists, while also showing Pepsi in strategic focal points.
WHAT ARE THE COMMUNCIATIONS OBJECTIVES? (Behaviour you’re trying to change) at least 2 /4
This video should show difference from the norm as envisioned in Pepsi’s slogan. This effect could be measured by the reactions of the people about the advertisement itself relative to the advertisements of our competitors. Based on the reactions of the audience to this difference, the brand could change its packaging to entice more customers. Additionally, this is relevant because of the strength of the competitors in establishing a strong brand identity. Lastly, this experiment would be done for this quarter.
Another objective of the video is to show its concern for the current issues in society. The perceptions of the people towards this corporate social concern (i.e., current issues in feminism) could be measured through surveys (Bunting, 2004). By doing this, the company could also leverage helping others while also increasing its brand recognition relative to others. The observation for the results of this experiment would be done within a month.
WHO IS THE TARGET AUDIENCE? /4
The target audience would be the youth who are residing in the urban areas.
In terms of geographic segmentation, the advertisement would target those in the cities that has access to both the advertisement as well as the product itself. This would optimize the effectivity of the advertisement in communicating its message.
As for demographic segmentation, it would focus on the youth. The primary reason for this is because people of old ae would have many dietary restrictions, and this allows soda. Thus, in order to increase the effectivity of the commercial, we would focus more on the said population.
In terms of behavioral segmentation, it would be best to direct the advertisements towards both who already knows Pepsi as well as those who don’t. However, focusing on those who don’t would also be effective as it would help increase its consumer base (Trott, 2016).
In terms of psychographic segmentation, focusing on the youth would be advantageous because of the trend these days to “think differently”. In turn, through the consumption of the product, this message would be emphasized.
WHAT IS THE CONSUMER INSIGHT? /2
“I think that these days, doing things ‘differently’ also refers to the company’s focus towards giving back to the society. This is what a strong brand means. A brand that resonates with the issues happening around them”.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT WE ARE TRYING TO COMMUNICATE? /2
The benefit that we are trying to communicate is the chance to be “different” and the idea to achieve more
WHAT CAN WE OFFER AS SUPPORT FOR THIS? /1
In order to realize this project, Pepsi would offer all of the support that it could provide as long as it is within the scope of the conditions and agreements provided thereof. This includes financial, logistics, and informational support among others.
WHAT IS THE BRAND’S CREATIVE STRATEGY/CAMPAIGN THEME?
Campaign Theme /1
The main campaign theme would revolve around Pepsi’s current slogan “Dare for More”
*Appeal Technique(s) /2
In order to increase the appeal of the advertisement, we would include general issues these days and incorporate it to the overall theme of the advertisement.
*Creative Tactic(s) /2
We would also include throngs of people singing in the background in unison. The song must be one that would elicit a strong emotional appeal.
WHAT’S REQUIRED / MANDATORIES/ EXECUTIONAL CONSIDERATIONS? /2
This video must put into focus Pepsi’s slogan, have a relevance to current day issues, and have a strong emotional appeal to all the viewers.
